Donna has supported Chemring in the initial stages of a programme looking at HR Technology provision globally across our 10 business units in 4 countries around the world.
Starting in Spring 2021, Donna worked with each of the UK, Australian and Norwegian business units to document the current systems in place and to map all HR processes. She advised our external advisors in the US on how to replicate that work in the US businesses as it was not possible for her to complete this as a non-US national due to our security restrictions.
Donna has been an exceptional support to the Chemring business throughout the past 18 months. She clearly understands the world of HR technology and was expert in navigating what needed to be reviewed or understood and what did not matter for the programme outcomes. She was focused on getting the businesses to the point of understanding what was required from the solution and taking us to the final phase of selecting a vendor. We engaged with Lomarton initially to take us through the RFP, tender process, business case, sand election of the solution. Once a vendor was selected, we engaged Donna as our Programme Manager for the implementation of a new HR and Payroll system.
This was a massive change programme for Samworth, we have changed the whole way we are organised. Since the initial engagement, there have been 3 CEO’s. We were moving from 19 different ways of working for payroll. The whole data piece was a real challenge and getting processes automated. We were also creating new shared services for payroll. Donna helped to set up the portal support team, and the scope of the involvement with Lomarton evolved.
They did a great job at getting us up and running. We now need to take more of a hands-on role to do the change management piece.
Donna met our expectations and Lomarton enabled our team to be in a better place. Personally, they helped me to understand how through stages in the programme to downsize the team for a period to make the budget last longer.
